Oil and Paint Disposal
The Blue Stem Yahoo News Group is a private group and you will not find it in their directory.
If you don’t already have a yahoo ID and password (or yahoo email), start with step one. If you already have one, start with step 2.
1. Go to www.yahoo.com, look for SIGN UP, and create a new username and password. Write it down immediately. After you have that accomplished that, go to step 2.
2. Go back to the above address, yahoo.com, Look for SIGN IN and enter your Yahoo ID and password.
3. In the Address window, near the top of the page, type in or copy this line: http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/bluestemridgehomes
Note all the periods, slashes, no misspellings. When you have that entered in the address window, hit the ENTER button/key. Note: make sure you are in the Address bar and not the Yahoo or Google SEARCH bar/windows.
You should then see a page with the Bluestem picture indicating that you’re on the right track, (oh be still my heart).
SCROLL DOWN the page and look for a blue button that says JOIN GROUP. CLICK BLUE BUTTON. Follow 1-3 steps. In the “comment to owner” section, type your house number and street. This is not public info but your acceptance into the group will go much faster if you give your house number and street. This helps the moderator to identify you when you are asking to join.
After you have given the required info, it will tell you that your membership is pending. It may take 24 hours and you’ll receive an email when you’re a member! No cash prizes are offered, only the satisfaction that you have indeed climbed and found your way over the Yahoo mountain !
When you first sign up to Yahoo, you can choose not to receive emails and go to the Home Page to read what is going on, or you can receive a daily email digest (all emails condensed into one) or receive individuals emails every time someone from the neighborhood writes something. You can change these options by accessing your Yahoo account.
When you want to join in on the email discussion or reply to an issue, look for the "reply" link at the bottom of the email. Your reply will be sent to the whole BSR Yahoo Group unless you privately email the sender.

After you are accepted, whenever you want to access the Yahoo Bluestem Home page, you’ll need to go to www.yahoo.com, click on Groups in the left side bar, then sign in, and you’ll see the Blue Stem Ridge name in the upper left corner under MY GROUPS. Click on the name and you’re there!!! Oh happy day! FILES is where the Board minutes are posted, Covenants, Bylaws, group rules, and other helpful info. Most of this information is available here on the http://bluestemridge.org website too. If something is considered only appropriate for BSR members, it will only be posted on the Yahoo site.
